In 2014 kino5 celebrated its 10th birthday with a big party and anniversary screening of kino5 projects and the premiere of the BATESIAN teasers.

Before that, they organized a special Kinokabaret on Wheels aka “Bike Kabaret”- a 2 week journey on bicycles visiting their Austrian Partner Organisations “Kino Cuntra” in Graz and “Kino Dramawas” in Innsbruck to entangle in shooting short films together. Click to watch the documentary about the trip.

In August 2014 kino5 represented the Austrian Kino-Movement in Mexico City and supported Ex-kino5 member Synes Elischka with the 2nd Kinokabaret Mexico.

In 2015 they are working on a new concept for the “Screenings”, with the intention of connecting film makers from scratch until the projection of their films, similar to KinoLoop in Berlin.  “Salon Bewegt Bild” is a series following the diverse forms of film making. In each show one established film maker meets a young professional. The series will also show festival reports, Interviews and insights into film productions. “Our Common Future” is a project which supports the exchange of European teenagers. The organisations of this project are Conférence générale de la Jeunesse luxembourgeoise” and „OurCommonFuture Luxembourg / Vienna. kino5 organizes trainings to teach them techniques to independently make films to spread their ideas. “Was geht” is the first cooperation of kino5 with an Austrian film production company. The documentary film of the same name portraits people and associations who shall answer questions to different social issues.
